The United Arab Emirates has recently dispatched a significant humanitarian aid convoy to Gaza, delivering 980 tonnes of essential supplies aimed at supporting civilians amidst the ongoing conflict. This aid, transported via 62 trucks, includes much-needed food, medical supplies, and shelter materials to help alleviate the dire situation faced by the people in the region.
These relief supplies were organized at the UAE Humanitarian Aid Logistics Centre located in Al Arish, Egypt. This effort is a part of Operation Gallant Knight 3, which the UAE initiated in October 2023. The operation underscores the UAE’s commitment to providing comprehensive humanitarian assistance through various channels, including land, air, and sea.
In addition to delivering supplies, the UAE has also been instrumental in setting up medical facilities to address the urgent health needs of those affected by the conflict. The country has actively participated in evacuating thousands of injured and critically ill patients, ensuring they receive vital medical treatment.
The latest convoy highlights the UAE’s ongoing dedication to addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. By continuously supplying essential aid, the UAE aims to mitigate the impact of the conflict on civilians and support recovery efforts in the region.
