by admin477351

UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has underscored the necessity of tackling extremism as a crucial component in the fight against terrorism. His statement emphasized that without addressing extremist ideologies, efforts to combat terrorism would not effectively resolve the underlying causes of violence.

Sheikh Abdullah’s comments were delivered in the wake of a deadly shooting at Hamoud Church in Jordan’s Karak Governorate, an attack that resulted in multiple casualties and injuries. Following this incident, the UAE expressed strong condemnation of the violence and reiterated its stance against terrorism, extremism, and all forms of violence that compromise public safety and regional stability.

In a statement on his official X account, Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the importance of integrating efforts against extremism into broader counterterrorism strategies. He argued that only by addressing the root causes can long-term security be achieved.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs further echoed Sheikh Abdullah’s sentiments by expressing solidarity with Jordan. The ministry called for enhanced collaborative efforts to prevent extremist violence and safeguard communities from such threats.
