Dubai Implements Major Traffic Reroutes Near Al Safah and City Walk

by admin477351

Dubai has launched major traffic diversions around Al Safa and City Walk to facilitate ongoing road development projects. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has implemented these changes on both sides of Al Satwa Street and Al Multaqa Street, aiming to maintain smooth traffic flow and enhance access in the City Walk vicinity during construction.

These diversions are part of the larger Al Safa Street development effort, focused on improving road connectivity and alleviating congestion in the area. This initiative is a component of a broader Dh2 billion infrastructure upgrade across the emirate, designed to strengthen connections between key roads.

The extensive Latifa bint Hamdan corridor project, spanning 12 kilometers, will link Sheikh Zayed Road with Al Khail Road, Al Meydan Street, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road, Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street, and Emirates Road. The project includes the construction of seven bridges covering 2.3 kilometers and eight tunnels spanning 900 meters.

Scheduled for completion by the end of 2028, the upgraded corridor is expected to handle over 16,000 vehicles per hour in both directions, significantly easing traffic congestion and improving transit efficiency across Dubai.
