by admin477351

Etihad Rail’s passenger service, which began operations just a month ago, is already making significant waves in the United Arab Emirates by enhancing tourism, boosting local businesses, and improving regional connectivity. The route efficiently links Abu Dhabi and Fujairah in less than two hours, and its popularity is evident as many trains have been operating at full capacity.

The impact of this new service is particularly noticeable near Abu Dhabi’s Mohamed bin Zayed City Station, where car rental companies are experiencing a surge in demand. Likewise, hotels in Fujairah have reported a rise in bookings. To cater to this growth and ensure seamless travel experiences, new bus routes have been introduced to enhance last-mile connectivity for passengers.

Looking ahead, Etihad Rail has ambitious plans to further develop its passenger network. The expansion is set to proceed in phases, with new stations in Dubai and Sharjah slated to open on September 30. This will be followed by additional stations in Madinat Zayed and Liwa, scheduled to commence operations on November 30.

These developments aim to bolster mobility and contribute to the economic growth of the UAE, reinforcing the country’s infrastructure and making travel between emirates more efficient and accessible. The ongoing expansion underscores Etihad Rail’s commitment to enhancing the nation’s transportation network, promising to further integrate and support the dynamic economic landscape of the UAE.
