In light of increasing global energy market uncertainties, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed underscored the significant role of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) in maintaining stable energy supplies. During a meeting at ADNOC’s headquarters, Sheikh Khaled led discussions with the company’s Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, focusing on operational and financial performance amidst recent regional maritime navigation challenges.
Sheikh Khaled emphasized the necessity for ADNOC to bolster its standing as an integrated energy entity by enhancing connections across production, trading, and logistics sectors. He highlighted the importance of the company’s operational adaptability and comprehensive capabilities in satisfying customer demands under fluctuating global conditions.
The Crown Prince was also updated on ADNOC’s global liquefied natural gas (LNG) marketing and trading platform, introduced in July. This initiative aims to achieve a marketable LNG capacity of 47 million tonnes per annum by 2030, broadening supply options for clients and enhancing access to ADNOC’s expanding gas resources.
Prior to the committee meeting, Sheikh Khaled toured ADNOC’s emergency control center, engaging with employees and business continuity teams charged with ensuring safe and efficient operations during potential disruptions. The discussions during the meeting were centered on strengthening ADNOC’s capability to navigate the evolving energy landscape while providing secure and reliable energy supplies to its customers.
