The United Arab Emirates has issued a stern condemnation of recent Iranian military actions targeting Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Jordan, labeling them a significant threat to the region’s security and stability. The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that these strikes represent a blatant breach of the sovereignty of neighboring nations and reiterated its unwavering support for the countries affected.
In its statement, the UAE also criticized the attacks on Iraq’s Kurdistan region, cautioning that such aggressive maneuvers could lead to further destabilization across the Middle East. This concern comes amid rising tensions in the region, fueled by ongoing military exchanges between Iran and the United States.
Kuwaiti officials reported that an Iranian strike had targeted a power and water desalination plant in the country. The attack resulted in a fire and caused extensive damage to several units responsible for electricity generation, highlighting the potentially severe impact of such actions on civilian infrastructure.
Meanwhile, Jordanian military authorities confirmed that their air defense systems had successfully intercepted and destroyed three Iranian missiles that had breached the country’s airspace. Fortunately, no casualties or material damage were reported as a result of this incident.
Bahrain’s armed forces also announced that they had effectively neutralized multiple Iranian aerial threats using their air defense systems. These incidents underscore the escalating military tensions in the Middle East and the challenges faced by countries in ensuring regional security amidst ongoing hostilities.
